Title:  Technician - Acid Storage

Amman Mineral Industries has a Sulphuric Acid Plant attached to each of its flash smelter to process the Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) released by the smelters to Sulphuric Acid of international standard having 98.5% concentration. The Sulphuric Acid is transferred through a pipeline to storage tanks located near the smelter and near the jetty.This role is to perform acid loading operations at the Sulphuric Acid Plant (SAP) and Jetty at Amman Mineral Industri, ensuring compliance with budgeted volumes, delivery schedules, specifications, and safety procedures. The role focuses on maintaining process efficiency, achieving productivity targets, and continuously improving technical competencies.

Main Responsibility (Operation/Production/Technical/Projects/Administration) :

• Undertake acid loading at the storage tanks at the Sulphuric Acid Plant (SAP) and Jetty at Amman Mineral Industri as per budgeted volumes.
• Achieve productivity norms and engage in continuous learning to enhance technical competencies and develop multiskilling capabilities.
• Execute acid loading operations following the delivery schedule and specifications in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).
• Maintain optimum process parameters to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Requirements :

• Diploma Engineer/ Trade certificate in Chemical/ Metallurgy/ Process Engineering 
• Experience in process plants (2-5 years with Diploma or 5-7 years with certificate )
• Be able to perform acid loading operations in compliance with safety regulations and operational procedures.
• Be able to monitor and control acid storage and loading processes to meet budgeted volumes and delivery schedules.
• Be able to monitor, adjust, and maintain optimum process parameters to ensure efficiency and safety.
