Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests in accordance with established protocols.
- Prepare, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record and analyze test results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to laboratory processes.
- Maintain proper documentation and adhere to quality control procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent in Laboratory Technology or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Familiarity with laboratory safety standards and procedures.
Production/Technical/Projects Part 1
- Conduct sampling and analysis according to the quality plan under the supervision of the Senior Chemist for the Smelter, RMH, Electro Refinery, Sulphuric Acid Plant, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and Sewage Treatment Plant (STP).
- Conduct testing at the Central & RMH Laboratory, including:
- Sampling of copper concentrate, testing of input, in-process, and output material at each stage.
- Water analysis.
- Ambient air and noise monitoring.
- Fire assay analysis.
- Wet chemistry and instrument analysis.
- Sampling and analysis of in-process samples for the copper smelter, electro refinery, sulphuric acid plant, and ETP/WTP.
- Sampling and analysis of finished goods (e.g., copper cathode, sulphuric acid).
